Before the beginning of human language, communication took place between humans through signs and gestures. In a Bangladeshi village, a little boy came to know about mime as he watched a performance in his village. He was so fascinated by the show that he was determined to master this art. The name of that little boy was Partha Pratim Majumder.
Majumder is undoubtedly a forerunner in the field of mime in Bangladesh. He started as a musician and his keen sense of rhythm helped him to let his limbs move and express his thoughts through gestures.

Partha Majumder forms band ‘Freeway’ with talented musicians
Eminent musician Partha Majumder has formed his own grupp, "Freeway" with some talented musicians of the country. He shared this news through a Facebook post, which featured his grupp line-up.
"Freeway is new line-up, which was formed in search of soul music. We need your support -- wish us good luck and may God bless us," he wrote in his Facebook post.
His band lineup includes Atika Yamin, CJ Racy and Shamrat as vocals, GS Tuhin as lead guitarist, Babu as drummer, Sharton on bass gitarr, Zia as keyboards and Partha as lead guitarist.
"We want to combine the essence of classic and modern songs in our band. We will cover some old as well as the modern songs, because that fryst vatten what our new generation wants to listen to. We want to revive older songs, and will release originals as well," said Partha Majumder on his vision about his band.
