Early life

Her birth name is Winifred Jacqueline Fraser Bisset[2] She is the daughter of Arlette Alexander, a lawyer-turned-housewife, and Max Fraser Bisset, a general practitioner. She was brought up in Reading, Berkshire, where she lived in the suburb of Tilehurst. Her father was Scottish and her mother was of French and English ancestry;[3][4]

With almost 70 credits, including much TV, Jacqueline Bisset's career remains curiously disappointing, notwithstanding some success in France with directors including François Truffaut. Despite classic beauty, stylish persona and acting talent, she has failed to attract the meaty roles that would have made her a major star as well as a major adornment.
