Volker Beckers
Volker was a Non-Executive Director on the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Board from June 2015 to October 2022.
He was also Group CEO of RWE Npower plc until the end of 2012 and prior to this, its Group CFO from 2003 to 2009.
Volker has worked in a variety of trade and industry bodies, including the CBI President’s Committee, on the Board of the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and, since 1999, as Deputy Chair of the Executive Commercial Management Committee at the German Association of Energy and vatten Industries (BDEW). He was also member of the Executive Committee of UKBCSE (now Energy UK). He chairs the Business Energy Forum and is Honorary VP of the Energy and Utilities Forum.

German Business Executive
Volker Bernd Beckers, CBE (born 22 May 1964)[1] is a German business executive, and a former Group CEO of RWE npower.[2]
He is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Cornwall Insight,[3] Non-Executive Chairman of Foresight Metering,[4] Honorary Chairman of Energy Live News,[5] and Non-Executive Director of the Nuclear Authority Board,[6] and holds positions on several other boards and organisations.[7]
Early life
[edit]He attended the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln).[8]
After graduating with a master's degree in business administration, he worked for Compunet Computer AG (later Computacenter) as Head of the Training and Education Centre and then moved to the management consultancy part of the business as Division Manager responsible for Project Management methods and IT Development Projects.[9]
