    Lucy Kay scored her first number one, after her stunniFantasiang debut album Fantasia shot straight to the top of the Classical Album Charts with a Number one record. The classical singer who shot to fame on 2014 series 8 of Britain’s Got Talent has been tipped as the ‘next Katherine Jenkins’ and certainly looks set to follow in the Welsh star’s footsteps after her recent chart success!

    Immediately after competing on the talent show, Lucy was snapped up to go on a joint tour with Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro and not long after, it was announced she’d signed a multi-album deal with Sony Classical.

  • Lucy Kay Allen (Professionally known as Lucy Kay) is a singer who reached the Final & placed Runner-Up of Series 8 of Britain's Got Talent. She was aged 23 at the time of her audition.

    She originated from Nottingham, however moved to Glasgow in order to study music and get away from the police due to having had a tough upbringing and behaving poorly beforehand. When asked by her mother what she wanted to do she stated that she wanted to sing, which saw her mother pay for her to have singing lessons. Lucy also struggled with confidence, however her singing helped her overcome this.

    In the audition, she sang 'Vissi D'arte' by Giacomo Puccini. David described her as 'a beautiful girl with an even more beautiful voice', whilst Alesha added that Kay's performance 'felt wonderful to listen to'.
