INTRODUCTION
Psychology is a discipline that studies human behaviour and mind. It attempts to ask questions
about the reason behind an individual’s behaviour and thinking. Two important concepts of psychology,
which people do not easily discern are guidance and counseling because both seek to find out the
solutions for problems and works for human development.

DEFINING COUNSELING

Gonzalez, FSC was De La Salle University System President when he resounded his visionary call on August 8, 1996 to the 28-strong members of the Society of University Fellows, for them to continue providing inspired leadership to the academic community in achieving new heights of excellence in research, publications and teaching.
