British rock icon Ian Hunter has been an influential and acclaimed singer/songwriter for over four decades. First debuting in as the frontman for rock band Mott the Hoople, he was the singer and main songwriter for the group until they broke up in Since then, Hunter has been a successful solo artist who has released 14 studio albums, plus several live albums and compilations.

Snit Fitzpatrick: Do you think diet and exercise is the reason you are still able to do what you do? Its a lot to do with genes, but obviously if youre thin, theres less of a load on the body and if you eat well, its less of a load on the system. A lot of people dont eat for their bodies they eat for their taste buds. Im lucky food doesnt particularly interest me. Its just the energy that keeps me going. Im not that brilliant at looking after myself, so Trudi has a lot to do with it as well.
Chris White: How did you get Andy MacKay to play sax on Memphis? Roxy were in the next room and Andy liked Mott. It was easy.
