Mike Malbrough
From a young age Michael enjoyed drawing, storytelling and populating his world with creatures and tales from his imagination. He began his long journey to children's literature at a local puppet theater, and over the years as a freelancer balanced his client work with directing an art studio and teaching to cultivate and inspire ung artists in his local community.
It wasn't until reading books to his own children that Michael would refocus a long creative career back towards his first love of spinning yarns for the youngest among us. In 2016, Michael's debut picture book MARIGOLD BAKES A CAKE was published by Philomel to wonderful reviews.
His upcoming titles include the WARREN & DRAGON chapter book series by Ariel Bernstein (Viking Books), YOU MADE ME A DADDY by Laurenne Sala, a 2019 HarperCollins picture book that celebrates fatherhood and the second book featuring Marigold, the fancy and persnickety ginger cat.
