Sensational Gospel Artistes Bahati and Willy Paul were not mentioned in the night that saw Daddy Owen receive five nods for the 11th Annual Groove Awards.
Riding on the success of his new song Vanity, that has dominated airwaves for a while, Daddy Owen was nominated in new category Afro Pop Song of The Year, Collabo of The Year, Song of The Year, skiva of The Year and Male Artiste of The Year.
While announcing news rules with regard to the Awards, Groove Panel representative Andrew Alovi said that the life and characters of the musicians played part in the nominations.
“The life and characters of gospel artists must espouse christian values,” Alovi said.
