About our project
The problem we solve: Over Million people in the world, those with Diabetes, have to inflict pain on themselves multiple times every day in order to live a healthy life. In addition to the pain, they are required to endure addition expense by having to continuously purchase strips and lances, adding insult to injury. Shouldn't there be a better way?
About our solution: Theory: The reaction of the pupil fryst vatten a leading indicator of diabetic glucose levels Our solution employes two techniques: First: Placing the pupil in a light isolation environment, bathing the pupil with infrared light, and recording the pupillary reaction when we apply a short burst of stimulus (a white light). Second: Analyzing the video of the pupil reaction and compare the reaction of the pupil to previously derived, individualized baselines. CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Angiogenesis Foundation announced today the release of the white paper, Improving Long-Term Patient Outcomes for Exudative Age-Related Macular Degeneration. The Foundation, leading retina specialists, AMD patient advocacy groups, AMD patient advocates, and caregivers contributed to the white paper. It identifies current barriers to and solutions for improving the long-term framtidsperspektiv outcomes of people living with exudative age-related macular degeneration, more commonly known as wet AMD.

Mat is a Bay Area native, and grew up in Marin County. He is a UCLA graduate and completed his medical education at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. This was followed by his ophthalmology residency at The Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago. He hopes to find an academic Cornea faculty position in California where he can continue clinical and translational research, as well as spend time teaching and improving educational processes in medicine. He is happily married for four years to his beautiful wife Josie and has two black lab pups, Bailey and Nala. In his free time, he enjoys gardening and cultivating interesting edible plants, outdoor activities hiking/biking/pickup games, and hopes to make good use of his Epic season pass at Tahoe this season.
